212 Squadron RAF Living History Group will be in attendance for the Grand Opening.
 
An M14 anti aircraft Halftrack will be in attendance on both days for the Grand Opening
 
W.O. Jack Hodges DFC 174 Squadron will be in attendance on Saturday 20th March 2010.
 
Mr Fellows ex Bomber Command Lancaster Tail Gunner will be in attendance at the Grand Opening.

The Grand re-opening of the Wings Museum - World War Two Remembrance Museum

 
What will you see in the New Museum?
For the first time you will see the Wings Museum re-open with phase 1 and phase 2. (Phase 1 was originally based at Redhill Aerodrome). The museum is BIGGER and BETTER than before and is approximately 8 x BIGGER! than the old museum!

The Museum is about real people, it covers a variety of subjects and is dedicated to all those who fought and died in the second World War - they should never been forgotten! This unique museum is a must see!

Saturday 20th / Sunday 21st March 2010 - Make a date!
 
Opening Times:
The museum will be open to the general public at 10am and doors will close at 5pm on both days.
 
Addmission:
Non exhibitors: Adults £8, Conncessions £7, Children under 10 FREE - the museum is now bigger and better than before. Remember we are a registered charity, ALL proceeds will be ploughed back into the running of the museum.

The museum is located next to Bucklands Farm, Brantridge Lane, RH17 6JT., just off High Beeches Lane near Balcombe in West Sussex.
 
Directions - How to find us
The Wings Museum is set in mid-Sussex on the Sussex Weald, just off the A/M23, close to the M25 and within easy reach of London, the South East and the South Coast. We are located very close to High Beeches Gardens and Nursery and also Nymans Gardens is close by, both these venues are sign posted by Brown Tourist Signs, we recommend our visitors to use these signs as they will bring you very close to the museum. We recommend the use of "Google Maps" which will help you plan your route
 
The most direct route to the museum is to exit either at Junction 10a or Junction 11 (the Pease Pottage Junction) off the M-23. The museum building is located geographically between the villages of Balcombe and Handcross. We are approximately 1 mile from the M-23 Motor Way.
 
During open days we will place a banner on the front entrance to the museum and the RAF Ensign will also be flying.

Important visitor information:
Visitors enter at own risk. Children must be kept under strict adult supervision at all times, due to the nature of the material on display dogs are not allowed in the museum but can be tied up outside.
 
Disabled Access:
Please note: if you are a disabled visitor then we are pleased to say that all of our displays are fully accessible by wheel chair or by a ramp, our museum staff will be able to assist you if you require help. We do not currently have disabled toilets.
